Right to Smoke.

Question is Smoking at a No Smoking area or No Smoking sign at Smoking area?
This small area of café has been reserved as a Smoking Zone since 8th April 1993 the day when Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur was inaugurated. But few months back the administration decided and installed this sign of No Smoking here. Now this sign has became a reason of many verbal clashes between smokers and non smokers, which is very disturbing for artists like us who just come here to relax and have a cup of coffee on an interesting discussion.

I don’t smoke nor I promote smoking but I understand that even those who smoke have some rights. The café area of Jawahar Kala Kendra is huge and till now before the sign was installed the smokers and non smokers were used to live in harmony in their own spaces. All I want is that although administration had taken the old smoking zone but please allocate the new smoking zone to smokers in the café area. So that again smokers and non smokers can share the café in harmony, as the smokers are also citizens of India with few basic rights.

Yogesh Moda at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur.

Yogesh Moda at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur.
Today I went to Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur in afternoon and fond the winter light and this frame interesting. As a lifestyle photographer it’s kind of hard for me to imagine a frame without people. So I look around me and found Yogesh Moda he is an aspiring director, recently he has done a short film which is in its final editing stage. So I asked him to give me a pose in that frame and here is the outcome.

India's Conspiracy against Black and White Photographers.

India's Conspiracy against Black and White Photographers.
India is a very strange country; I am born in India but still trying to figure it out. I love black and white photography and always try to click some good ones. But in India it’s kind of impossible to click a good black and white pic without killing your soul. No matter how much you try but you end up with colors in your frame. Finding a good frame without colors in India is a task in itself. Sometimes you feel like it's a conspiracy going against black and white photographers in India. You will feel like people intentionally wear these colors and make a frame in front of you to capture.
